Liz Groo, CFA is a financial-markets executive, investor and advisor with nearly 30 years of experience spanning capital markets, trading, research, portfolio management, risk and governance.
Her career has crossed both P&L and risk-management roles, public and private markets, and equity and credit. At Citi, Liz was a Managing Director and Global Head of Loan Portfolio Advisory, leading strategy and oversight for a global corporate credit portfolio of approximately $300 billion. Earlier roles included proprietary credit trading, portfolio management, equity research and treasury at several global financial institutions.
Liz also brings more than a decade of venture-investing and growth-company experience across funds, fund-of-funds, angel investments and direct company investments, including early-stage, growth and structured financings. Her investing and advisory work spans a broad range of sectors, with particular experience in fintech, climate and energy transition.
She has advised and mentored emerging companies through the ClimateTech Expertise Network and RMI’s Third Derivative, with work spanning financing, commercialization, customer strategy and institutional readiness.
She previously served as a Board Director of the International Association of Credit Portfolio Managers, including as Chair of its Nominating Committee.
